Construction
Wheel wash systems for construction sites
SiteWash keeps mud and sediment on site at construction entrances, recycles its wash water and records every wash for planning and stormwater permit compliance.
The requirement
What the site needs
Construction sites carry trackout conditions in their planning consent in Ireland and the UK, and in their stormwater permit and SWPPP in the United States. Mud on the public road brings complaints, road sweeping costs and enforcement.
A SiteWash cleans every vehicle at the exit without an operator, and recycles its wash water, so mud and sediment stay out of the road and the drains.
Engineering considerations

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Which wheel wash suits a construction site?
Most construction sites specify a SiteWash 4. The SiteWash 2 suits lower traffic volumes, and the SiteWash Flexi suits tight entrances because it needs only one excavation.
Does a wheel wash help with SWPPP compliance?
Yes. The EPA Construction General Permit requires operators to minimize sediment track-out and names wheel washing as an example of an additional track-out control.
Does it help with planning conditions in Ireland and the UK?
It controls trackout at the site exit, so mud stays off the public road.
Can I rent a wheel wash for a construction project?
Yes. Rental is available direct in Ireland and the UK, and through partners in other markets. Rental includes delivery, installation, commissioning and collection.
